A $45 sale is $15 or more, so Poshmark takes 20% of $45 = $9.00. Your earnings are $45.00 − $9.00 = $36.00. After the $15 you paid for the item, profit is $21.00. Shipping and sales tax are paid by the buyer and do not change the fee.

How Poshmark fees work

Poshmark is a US resale app for clothing, shoes, accessories, beauty, and home goods. Most sellers are individuals clearing out closets or part-time resellers flipping thrifted and wholesale fashion. Listing is free and there is no monthly fee; you only pay when something sells.

The fee has two parts and only one applies to any sale. If the item sells for less than $15, Poshmark keeps a flat $2.95. If it sells for $15 or more, Poshmark keeps 20% of the sale price. That is the whole seller fee: there is no separate payment-processing charge, no listing fee, and nothing extra for using the prepaid shipping label.

The buyer pays a flat-rate shipping charge and any sales tax on top of your price, so neither affects what you owe. The only way shipping costs you money is if you choose to offer a shipping discount, in which case you cover the difference.

In October 2024 Poshmark briefly switched to a 5.99% seller fee plus a buyer fee, then reverted to the $2.95 / 20% structure after three weeks. That structure is what applies to US sales in 2026.

Good to know

Fee amounts verified on Poshmark's official blog FAQ (blog.poshmark.com) and original 2014 commission announcement; the Fee Policy page in the Poshmark Legal Center is rendered client-side and could not be read directly. Payout timing (funds released after buyer acceptance or the return window) and current redemption methods were not re-verified on an official page for this update. Shipping label prices are set by Poshmark and paid by the buyer; the current label price is not stated here because it changes and does not affect the seller fee. Posh Shows (live selling) and Promoted Closet ads have their own terms and are not modeled.
