What this site is
FeeTally is a set of free calculators that show what you keep after a platform's fees: marketplaces like eBay and Etsy, resale apps like Poshmark and Mercari, payment processors like Stripe and PayPal, and the platforms that pay creators, hosts and gig workers. Type a price, see every fee line, your profit, and the price you'd need to hit a target.
How the numbers are built
Each calculator is built from the platform's own published fee schedule. We read the official help or pricing page, model every fee component that applies to a typical US seller, and link the exact pages we used under "Sources" on the calculator. Every page shows the date its fees were last verified, and fee changes we can date are logged under "Recent fee changes".
Where a platform publishes ranges or leaves something unstated, the calculator says so rather than guessing, and the assumption is written in the "Good to know" box. Fees that depend on private negotiation, enterprise plans, or region-specific rules outside the United States are generally not modeled.
Rates are re-checked on a schedule and whenever a platform announces a change. If you spot a rate that has moved, please tell us; corrections are usually live within a day.
What the calculators don't do
- They don't include sales tax, income tax, or self-employment tax. Some platforms charge their fee on the sales tax they collect; those calculators note it.
- They don't include the cost of returns, refunds, chargebacks or unsold inventory. Build a buffer into your margin for those.
- They aren't financial, legal or tax advice. They're arithmetic on published rates.
