Worked example
A $150 sale is $120 or more, so commission is 9% of $150 = $13.50 (the Grailed Label means shipping is left out of the commission). The buyer paid $160 including $10 shipping, so processing is 3.49% of $160 = $5.58 plus $0.49 = $6.07. Total fees are $19.57 and you receive $140.43. After the $60 you paid for the item and the $10 label, profit is $70.43.
How Grailed fees work
Grailed is a peer-to-peer marketplace for menswear, streetwear, designer, and vintage clothing, sneakers, and accessories. Sellers are mostly individual collectors and resellers moving mid- to high-priced pieces, and buyers negotiate through offers before checkout.
There are two seller fees. The commission depends on the sale price: 9% on sales of $120 or more, and 6% with a $1.99 minimum on sales under $120 (the reduced tier applies to sales on or after May 20, 2026). If you ship with a Grailed Label, the commission is calculated on the listing price only; if you ship on your own, the shipping you charge the buyer is included in the base.
On top of that, Grailed Payments (run on Stripe) charges a payment processing fee: 3.49% + $0.49 when the buyer is in the US, or 4.99% + $0.49 for an international buyer, for sellers who have completed Stripe onboarding. Sellers in a Stripe-supported country who have not finished onboarding pay a higher $0.99 fixed fee.
Buyers pay nothing extra to Grailed. On a typical $150 sale with $10 shipping, a US seller pays $19.57 in total and receives $140.43, released to their bank account within 3 calendar days of delivery.
- Commission, $120 and above: 9% of the sale price. On a $150 sale that is $13.50.
- Commission, under $120: 6% of the sale price with a $1.99 minimum, for sales on or after May 20, 2026. On an $80 sale that is $4.80; on a $25 sale the $1.99 minimum applies.
- What counts as the sale price: the listing price your item sells for, plus any shipping you charge the buyer if you do not use a Grailed Label. With a Grailed Label, only the listing price counts.
- Payment processing (Grailed Payments via Stripe): 3.49% + $0.49 per sale for a US buyer, 4.99% + $0.49 for an international buyer. This calculator applies it to the item price plus shipping, which is what the buyer is charged.
- Not yet onboarded with Stripe: the fixed part rises to $0.99 (3.49% + $0.99 domestic, 5.49% + $0.99 international). Finish onboarding before you sell.
- Buyers pay no Grailed fee. Sales tax is collected from the buyer by Grailed and is not part of your commission base.
- Payout: Grailed releases funds to your bank account within 3 calendar days of the item showing as delivered, then your bank takes 2 to 3 business days.
Ways to keep more of each Grailed sale
- Use a Grailed Label when you charge for shipping. Without it, a $150 sale with $15 shipping is commissioned on $165 instead of $150, which costs an extra $1.35.
- Mind the $120 line. A $119 sale pays 6% ($7.14); a $121 sale pays 9% ($10.89). If an offer lands just above $120, countering slightly lower can leave you with more.
- Finish Stripe onboarding before listing. The unonboarded rate adds $0.50 per sale on domestic orders and a full point plus $0.50 on international ones.
- Price for offers. Grailed buyers expect to negotiate, and a $10 drop on a $150 sale only costs you about $8.75 in payout because the 9% and 3.49% shrink with it.
- Free shipping with a higher price and free shipping with a lower price and a shipping charge are not equal: with a Grailed Label, shipping escapes the 9% commission but still pays 3.49% processing.

Grailed's current fee page lists only Grailed Payments, which runs on Stripe, with payouts to a bank account. PayPal is not mentioned as a payment or payout option on the official fee pages.
How much does Grailed take on a $200 sale?
With $10 shipping and a Grailed Label: 9% of $200 = $18.00 commission plus 3.49% of $210 + $0.49 = $7.82 processing, so $25.82 in fees and a $184.18 payout.
When does Grailed pay sellers?
Funds are released to your bank account within 3 calendar days of the tracking showing delivered. US banks then take 2 to 3 business days to post it.
Are there Grailed fees for buyers?
No. Grailed is free for buyers; the buyer pays the item price, shipping, and any sales tax.
Does Grailed charge a fee if my item doesn't sell?
No. Listing is free and both the commission and processing fee are charged only when an item sells.
